Development Centre (Boys 13-16)
Rochdale AFC are proud to announce exciting plans regarding the player development pathway for 2024/25.
The club’s Community Trust will expand their player development pathway model which ran successfully last season for u9-12 and u16 boys as well as girls by making use of the academy venues, coaches and ethos that has produced numerous first team players over the years.
Having operated as a successful Category 3 academy under the Elite Player Pathway Programme for a number of years, the club is running at Category 4 (under 18) EPPP Academy status only next season due to first team league status, with the Development Centres providing training and playing opportunities for players to develop their game to the next level.
Boys teams will run for every age group from under 8’s through to under 15’s, with weekly training, gym access and classroom sessions alongside a fixture programme geared to provide exposure to high level matches whilst avoiding any clashes with grassroots fixtures.
What’s Next:
We will now be holding trials for the foundation phase age groups on Thursdays from the W/C 9th September 2024.
Age Group : 13s & 14s Boys
Venue : Matthew Moss
Times : 5-6pm
Age Group : 15s/16s Boys
Venue : Matthew Moss
Times : 6-7pm
These trials will conclude on the W/C 23rd September providing three sessions per players to showcase their ability.
Following this an invite email will be sent ready for sessions to begin on the W/C 30th September, with the programme consisting of the following:
- 13-16 (Price PM £24)
- 4/5 Training Sessions per month
- 1 Game per month
- 3 Reviews per year
- UEFA Licensed Coaches
- Discounted training kit.
