Rochdale AFC Community Trust believe we have a part to play in helping people to lead healthier lives.

We work in partnership with a variety of organisations to  raise awareness and support  with key messaging,  campaigns, and health  interventions.

Team Talks with Mind,  Prostate Cancer Testing with Barry  Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal, Dementia Café and Smoking  Cessation with Rochdale Metropolitan  Borough Council.

17th April 2021 – MIND Matchday

As part of our ongoing partnership with Rochdale and District Mind, four First Team players worked closely with Club and Community staff to create a mental health awareness video, as well as warming up in MIND t-shirts before the match, and donating a shirt to the Charity to raise vital funds to continue their work.

20th April 2021 – #FootballWelcomes

Football Clubs are at the heart of their communities, and play an important role in bringing people together and creating friendships across cultures. To celebrate Amnesty International’s annual #FootballWelcomes month in April, Rochdale AFC and Blackpool FC players warmed up in ‘Football Welcomes Refugees’ t-shirts before their match.

11th May 2021 – #MileforMind

This week was Mental Health Awareness Week 2021, and to show our support Rochdale AFC Club and Community Staff, alongside our Sports College students, took part in walking a #MileforMind.

10th October 2021 – World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day was Sunday 10th October 2021, and we gave Rochdale AFC fans the opportunity to use our platform to share their story, raise awareness, challenge stigma, and help others realise they are not alone in how they are feeling.
