Dale’s principal partner Crown Oil have pledged their support to the family of community teams operating under the Rochdale AFC banner by agreeing to become front of shirt sponsors for the 2024/25 season.
The Heywood based oil and lubricant specialist already holds the stadium naming rights and front of shirt spot for the men’s first team, but will this year also proudly feature on the front of Rochdale AFC Sports College, Rochdale AFC Ladies, Rochdale AFC Walking Football and Rochdale AFC Military Veterans kits as well as the club’s disability team Rochdale AFC Ability Counts and refugee team Rochdale AFC Hope Football.
The deal will ensure that the near 300 footballers who represent the club won’t have to fundraise in order to buy their playing kit this season but will still run out in the same kit as the men’s first team.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Rochdale AFC Community teams this season.
The Rochdale AFC Community Trust does a tremendous amount of work in the community and we were keen to support where we could.
We also wanted to align the vision of Rochdale AFC becoming a true community club and all teams playing with the Crown Oil logo across the chest brings the club and community closer together” commented a spokesperson for Crown Oil.
Rochdale AFC Community Trust would like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors who, along with funds made available by the charity themselves, sponsored the 2023/24 Our Teams kits, namely:
- Rochdale AFC Ladies – Community Trust
- Rochdale AFC Sports College- Community Trust
- Rochdale AFC Military Veterans – Energy Funding Service
- Rochdale AFC Ability Counts – Energy Funding Service
- Rochdale AFC Walking Football – HMR Circle
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to last year’s sponsors as well as to Crown Oil for their support.
Kitting out our teams is a five figure investment every year and, with the cost of living crisis and so many other barriers to participation we do everything we can to ensure we don’t have to pass these costs directly onto participants.
I’d like to thank Rochdale AFC and Andy Duff, Commercial Director, for their support in brokering the agreement.
Thanks to Crown Oil, all of our teams will take to the field in up-to date kits and represent Rochdale AFC with pride” commented Ryan Bradley, Community Director.
