Rochdale AFC Community Trust have been nominated for a prestigious national award.
Launched in 2012 the Football Business Awards celebrate the very best in football business and attract 500 attendees to the ceremony each year.
Designed to celebrate the vital influence of business within football the Football Business Awards recognise the organisations, teams and individuals who excel in a variety of business, CSR and football governance disciplines.
Rochdale AFC Community Trust have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Non-Football use of a Venue’ category, in recognition of the innovative One Stop Bus, located at the Crown Oil Arena.
Having already picked up the Community Initiative of the season gong at North West Football Awards, the One Stop Bus provides a food pantry, learning and sensory space at the Crown Oil Arena and has been recognised on a national stage for the impact it is having.
“We are delighted to again be nominated for an award” commented Ryan Bradley, Community Director at Rochdale AFC Community Trust.
“We have had another phenomenal year in terms of growth as an organisation and to be recognised for the impact we are having on people is always rewarding.
The Football Business Awards are really prestigious, and the competition is fierce, so to just make the shortlist is a real achievement but, as shown at the North West Football Awards, we can hold our own and compete against other clubs so we will cross our fingers and hope for the best!”
Rochdale go up against Liverpool FC, Manchester Utd, Rangers and Newcastle United at the awards in London on 26th May.
