More Than a Week of Football: Your Soccer Schools Booking Helps Us Do More Across Rochdale

For years, Rochdale AFC Community Trust Soccer Schools have given children the chance to spend their school holidays playing football, developing their skills, making new friends and, most importantly, having fun.

All of that remains exactly the same.

But there’s another part of the story that we haven’t really talked about before.

At full capacity, *up to 73% of the income generated through our October Soccer Schools can be reinvested into our wider community work.

That means the impact of booking a place can go much further than the week itself.

As the official charity of Rochdale AFC, our work takes place across communities throughout the borough. We use football and the power of the Club to reach people of different ages, backgrounds and circumstances – including people who may otherwise struggle to access opportunities.

Income generated through activities such as Soccer Schools helps us continue that work.

It can help us provide inclusive opportunities for children and young people with SEND, create activities that improve physical and mental wellbeing, support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and take programmes into some of the communities in Rochdale experiencing the greatest inequalities.

It helps us create places where people can be active, make friends, feel that they belong and wear the Rochdale badge with pride.

We want our Soccer Schools to be brilliant value for families in their own right.

Your child gets a fun-filled football experience with our coaches, develops their skills and confidence, stays active during the school holidays and gets to spend time with other young people who love football.

October Soccer Schools will take place at Rochdale AFC – Crown Oil Arena, Middleton Playzone at King George V Playing Fields in Middleton and Pennines Playzone at Milnrow Memorial Park in the Pennines.
