Over Three Decades of Netball in Rochdale
Rochdale AFC Netball Club proudly builds on the rich legacy of Rochdale Netball Club, founded in 1992. For more than three decades, the club has provided opportunities for hundreds of women and girls across the borough to enjoy, develop and compete in netball — earning a reputation for its welcoming culture and commitment to grassroots sport.
In 2026, the club entered an exciting new chapter by becoming part of the Rochdale AFC family, joining Rochdale AFC Community Trust as the club’s official netball section. This partnership combines over 30 years of netball heritage with the strength, ambition and community values of Rochdale AFC.
While our name has evolved, our commitment remains the same: to provide high-quality coaching, create opportunities for players of all abilities, and inspire future generations to enjoy the game.
Rochdale Netball Club Founded
The club is established, beginning a long-standing commitment to netball across the Rochdale borough.

Hundreds of women and girls participate, with teams across junior and senior age groups competing in regional leagues.
